Engagement Amie and Ryan

I was honored to take pictures of two of my friends. Amie and Ryan both work at my church, Morning Star Church in Lake St. Louis. Ryan is an amazing musician, and Amie is a talented worship arts leader and powerful prayer. Morning Star is honored to have such amazing talent and loving staff. Amie and Ryan didn't want a traditional engagement session with flowers, lakes, and pretty backgrounds, Ryan described what he wanted as "dirty". He wanted people in the background, cars, trash cans, pipes, etc. We decided to go to downtown Clayton...not because it is dirty, but because there is a lot character. It was rainy and late, but we think this was the perfect condition for what they wanted. Thanks Amie and Ryan for including me on this important event. I look forward to your wedding.

Clayton Wedding Melanie and Peter

Melanie and Peter also found me on CraigsList and said they needed a photographer to capture their day. I was honored that they chose me after seeing some of my engagement work. Their wedding was at the Seven Gables Inn in Clayton. This was an outdoor wedding in the evening so the lighting was difficult, but we got some great shots. I had a friend, Tim capture the evening with me because he may start shooting weddings when I am double booked. I hope to share his work here soon.
Peter and Melanie were very excited because we went to the house where they met to take their pictures after the wedding. We didn't know who lived there, but we snuck in the back yard and got a few shots. We figured if someone came out they would figure out what we were doing, or they would think we were crazy. Melanie and Peter, thanks for letting us be a part of your special day, it was a beautiful event.
