Simms Wedding

Over Thanksgiving I was honored to capture Katie and Erik Simms' wedding. I am close friends with the Simms family. I have been on many mission trips with Erik's dad Mike and brother Chris. Their wedding was down town St. Charles and their reception was at Quail Ridge in Wentzville. I had a blast with their family, they had one fun wedding, I've never seen a bride dance so much.

Rebekah and Mike Wedding

I’m sorry I have not updated my blog in awhile. As you may know my wife and I recently had our 3rd child, and who would have known that she doesn’t like to go to sleep at the same time the other kids go to sleep. I’ll do my best to update some of my latest sessions.

I have to thank Rebekah and Mike, they are the first people to trust me as a photographer. They were my first engagement session, then I immediately booked 3 weddings within one week after their session. I was excited about their September wedding. It was in beautiful Washington, Missouri, and overlooked the river. Rebekah and Mike make a beautiful couple, and I was honored to capture their wedding. Rebekah and Mike, thank you for trusting me, your trust helped springboard my career as a wedding photographer.

Welcome Gracie Anne

My wife and I are pleased to introduce the newest member to our family. Gracelyn was born one week early because we thought she was going to be too big.

Engagement Amie and Ryan

I was honored to take pictures of two of my friends. Amie and Ryan both work at my church, Morning Star Church in Lake St. Louis. Ryan is an amazing musician, and Amie is a talented worship arts leader and powerful prayer. Morning Star is honored to have such amazing talent and loving staff. Amie and Ryan didn't want a traditional engagement session with flowers, lakes, and pretty backgrounds, Ryan described what he wanted as "dirty". He wanted people in the background, cars, trash cans, pipes, etc. We decided to go to downtown Clayton...not because it is dirty, but because there is a lot character. It was rainy and late, but we think this was the perfect condition for what they wanted. Thanks Amie and Ryan for including me on this important event. I look forward to your wedding.

Clayton Wedding Melanie and Peter

Melanie and Peter also found me on CraigsList and said they needed a photographer to capture their day. I was honored that they chose me after seeing some of my engagement work. Their wedding was at the Seven Gables Inn in Clayton. This was an outdoor wedding in the evening so the lighting was difficult, but we got some great shots. I had a friend, Tim capture the evening with me because he may start shooting weddings when I am double booked. I hope to share his work here soon.
Peter and Melanie were very excited because we went to the house where they met to take their pictures after the wedding. We didn't know who lived there, but we snuck in the back yard and got a few shots. We figured if someone came out they would figure out what we were doing, or they would think we were crazy. Melanie and Peter, thanks for letting us be a part of your special day, it was a beautiful event.
