In 2004, Dan Tripp and his wife experienced one of the most spiritual blessings in their lives when they went on their first mission trip to Honduras. After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, they led three mission trips to Southern Mississippi to help rebuild houses. For the past 3 years Dan has went back to Honduras to help build a church, work with the kids during Vacation Bible School, and install water purification systems. Unfortunately, as volunteer missionaries, they must raise their own funds for the trips.
After their second child was born, they wanted some family pictures, but didn't want the traditional "sit and smile" portraits from JC Penny, and refused to pay hundreds of dollars for a professional photographer to go to a park. Instead they asked one of their friends to take pictures of them at a park, and saw Tim Gryseels there also taking pictures. This was the beginning of MissionPhoto.ORG. Later Dan met Becky McMahon, Creative Memories consultant at an expo and started working together to provide affordable outdoor photography sessions. Now Becky is the graphic designer, scheduler, and editor for MissionPhoto.ORG
The goal of MissionPhoto.ORG is to provide professional quality, non-traditional pictures of babies, kids, families and weddings for an affordable price, and to raise money for mission trips.
